MILKING AND QUALITY TRAINING FOR DAIRY FARMERS
In order to improve milk productivity and quality we apply our “Milking and Quality” training programme, which we continue year after year. The training for dairy farmers is prepared by Jerome Deniau, one of the world’s leading experts on this subject who is responsible for training and milk techniques at Group Lactalis. The purpose of the measure is to transfer different productivity practices used in foreign countries to Turkey in order to improve our country’s milk expertise.
Our training programme addresses issues such as milking, milk bacteriology, quality control, milking support, farm quality audits and cell quality checks of the milk. Farmers who take part in the training are informed about how to protect udder health, how to correctly use milking equipment, how to fight milking and milk infections, what to consider when combining milk, milk quality and equipment cleaning.
With this sectoral training programme we intend to transfer international knowledge and expertise to our dairy farmers, with the purpose of contributing to higher milk productivity and quality in the entire country. We are convinced that our training measures will contribute significantly to the development of Turkey’s agricultural sector.
